Zion Narrows
The Narrows of Zion National Park are the result of the Virgin River slicing deep into Navajo sandstone. Hundreds of feet deep, many parts of the canyon see the sun only briefly or, depending on the season, not at all. When the sun does reach into the depths of the canyon, it reflects off the sides imparting a soft glow to the normally shadowed walls.
