Watching Sunset
There is a rainy season on the Colorado Plateau that runs roughly from mid-June through mid-September. During this time there are cloud build-ups in the afternoon that often start to dissipate around sunset. If you're lucky, the sun will break through providing a colorful display at the end of the day.
This image was taken in July when a balanced rock and I shared one of these special moments. I particularly like how the normally whitish-colored rock picks up colors from the sky and the clouds.
