New Navajo Bridge
The new Navajo Bridge opened to traffic on May 2, 1995. It took two years to complete and is located adjacent, but slightly downstream, from the original bridge. The original bridge cost $390,000 to build in 1929. The new bridge cost $14.7 million. This slightly telephoto composition is meant to capture the cleaner lines and more modern engineering methods of the new bridge.
