Mud Flower
The heavy rains fell over a week ago, and most of the puddles left in the flooding wash were nearly gone. Cracked and curling mud was all that remained as the silty, sun-baked deposits dried up. Though new plants were just now sprouting, a flower-like creation resulting from the moisture was already in full bloom as petals of cracking mud surrounded a granite boulder pistil.
