Mitten Moonrise
Twice each year the full moon aligns perfectly to rise between The Mittens in Monument Valley. On this night, about 20 minutes after sunset, the moon came over the horizon exactly as planned. I was particularly pleased at how the frame not only caught the newly risen moon flanked by The Mittens, but also shows the quintessential evening sky phenomenon of the transition between the pink twilight layer and the blue anti-twilight layer.
