This is an image from The Wave in Coyote Buttes North. It is a composite in more ways than one. The original image is a composite of several "focus slices" that were blended together to improve detail and sharpness throughout the scene. The focus-blended composite was then composited again via a series of vertical and horizontal flips, moving the image each time to create perfect alignment of the edges. In the final version, it's almost hard to imagine the original composition within the geometry of the multiple parts.
