Clearing Storm
This series of pictures features cloudscapes that include the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, Arizona. I watch these mountains constantly from where I live and have found them an endless source of beauty and inspiration.
This image was taken as the last remnants of a tropical storm were exiting the Sonoran desert after dropping nearly three inches of rain. It's a stark contrast to the clear blue skies that typically frame this range. Low clouds like this are more commonly seen at high altitudes, but low barometric pressure apparently has a similar effect in the desert.
