The Argentine Giant cactus, while not native to the Sonoran Desert, grows here just fine. Its flowers are quite large, measuring around 8-inches across. They open at night and only photograph well the following morning before the sun hits them. Non-hybrid varieties are usually white, but photographed under a clear sky can reflect the ambient blue light.
